You can't delete the master branch, it is protected by the git.apache.org setup - also you can't unroll commits there. (You can of course still do revert commits, as long as the merge was --no-ff and thus a single commit in the log).
So perhaps wait a few days, make sure Jenkins is happy etc, before doing the merge. Otherwise +1 - let's go v3!
