## Description:
Jena is a framework for developing Semantic Web and Linked Data
applications in Java. It provides implementation of W3C standards for
RDF and SPARQL.
## Issues:
There are no issues requiring board attention at this time.
## Activity:
Jena released version 3.4.0 2017-07-17
The project has received a software contribution of a new storage
subsystem. Software grants from the main developer (who is also a
committer but this work was not done at Apache) and his employer, for
most of the development period, have been obtained. This work was
originally funded by a UK government R&D grant, with the condition the
work was open source.
