Thanks for the report. Looks like I don't know Ruby either.
The versions of the scripts from a previous release will work with plain http.
The https version are broken as you describe and reading up on Ruby and
http/https shows some other problems like not following redirects for going
http to https.
If it is breaking the a downstream job, shall I revert the scripts for now?
