When unpacking the jruby-bin-1.1RC2.tar.gz file with gzip -dc
jruby-bin-1.1RC2.tar.gz | tar xf -
this message is repeatedly shown
tar: ././@LongLink: typeflag 'L' not recognized, converting to regular file
Apparently GNU tar extensions is used when generating the file.
Temp workaround: Use zip file instead.
