I ran one of the MRI test files against the lib and there were several failures. I will begin looking at cleaning these up on Sunday. I can commit the tests to the repo for others to begin work too.

Hi,

I tested this out and found at least one issue. I posted it on the issues page at github: http://github.com/bpmcd/win32ole/issues

The logging appears to just be a System.out and probably wouldn't be
the cause of the .Quit issue...

I would also like to propose this gets included in the windows installer for jruby 1.5.0. Even if it has some bugs to be worked out, it would great to have something out there to roll with.

Yeah, this would be great to get rolled into JRuby somehow, either as
a gem that we preinstall or directly into JRuby.

Including directly would add some size to the dists; Jacob + its DLLs
adds up to >450k (uncompressed). But we'd be able to add logic to wire
it up directly in JRuby without it loading as an extension/service
thingy (maybe not a big deal). As a gem, it could continue to be
developed and released independent of JRuby, and wouldn't emburden
the non-Windows users. I'm leaning toward that option.

Brian: sounds like you put together a nice library. When do you think
you'll have run MRI's tests against it?
