jruby-1.6.3 on OSX Lion not working, irb hangs, rails console crashes

version "1.6.0_26" with jruby 1.6.3 (installed via rvm 1.6.25)

I get irb just hanging. I then re-install jruby 1.6.3, irb worked, but rails
console crashed.
