There is a bug in jnr-ffi-0.5 that results in NativeLong parameters not being handled correctly, and these are used in jnr-netdb for get{serv,proto} functions.
This means the native support for those functions fails to load, and jnr-netdb falls back to reading the files itself. This mostly works fine, but it will dump out a nasty stack trace.
Versions before 1.6.8 don't trigger this bug, and jruby-1.7.0 is also unaffected.
