brushed commented on JSPWIKI-1050: ---------------------------------- Hi Ed, Txs for the comments. Good to see some real user feedback on the Find&Replace functionality. (1) Ctrl-F is indeed capture to automatically open the F&R dialog. I agree this may be confusing vs. the standard browser behaviour. => I will remove the shortcut key in a next commit. (2) The F&R works on the whole document (default behaviour) or on the selected part of the document. Unfortunately, when opening the F&R dialog; the selection highlighting of the main text area is removed. This is standard behaviour of a browser. (reason: the input-field of the dialog box is now selected) => Possible solution is to add some indication in the dialog box. > The find and replace do not seem to work > ---------------------------------------- > > Key: JSPWIKI-1050 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JSPWIKI-1050 > Project: JSPWiki > Issue Type: Bug > Affects Versions: 2.10.2 > Reporter: Ed Ross > > When editing a page, there is no way to just find some text unless the sneak > preview is selected. The ctrl-F will just bring up the search/replace screen > > Work-around - open a preview, then the page find (ctrl-f) will work. > The find and replace either does not work, or works strange. The find will > tell you the number of occurrences on the page - but does not take you to any. > if it is highlighting the works, there is not enough contrast to see it. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.15#6346)
