The current workflow for plain text editing is
 * Info > attachments, upload the images
 * Edit the page
 * ![ then select the image
 * save the changes and hopefully the image renders

However it doesn't work as the auto complete suggestion, macro or whatever it 
is used to render the html of the page does not accept it in markdown

Using markdown specific syntax also doesn't appear to work either.
