Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-586:
---------------------------------------

Tried with the current code (master plus an unrelated parser change, Tomcat
10.1, Chrome). FCKeditor is not in the default templates any more; the wysiwyg
editor of the default template is MooEditable. I typed the text of the report,
an em tag around hello world, in it as plain text, saved the page and opened
it, on two instances.

With the default configuration, jspwiki.translatorReader.allowHTML=false, the
page shows the tags as text, em tag included, which is what the report
expected. With allowHTML=true the page shows hello world in italics. The wiki
text saved in the file is the same in both instances, the typed tags as they
were written, so the wysiwyg editor does not change the text and the property
decides how the page shows it. I read the HTML of the page in both cases: the
tags are escaped with the default and they are real tags with allowHTML=true.

Limits: FCKeditor itself, the 2.8.2 version of the report and the preview of
that time were not tried; only this one text, only Chrome. If the reporter had
allowHTML turned on, the italics are what that property is for. Leaving the
issue open for the reporter to confirm.

> Components: Editors
> Affects Versions: 2.8.2
> Environment: Server: JSPWiki v2.8.2, FCKeditor version 2.6.3 Build
> 19836
> Client: Ubuntu 9.04, Firefox 3.0.13
> Reporter: David Eriksson
> Priority: Minor
>
> Is this a bug or a feature, or maybe a configuration issue on my part?
> Steps to reproduce:
> 1. Select FCKeditor as editor
> 2. Create a page
> 3. Write some HTML code in WYSIWYG mode, such as "<em>hello world</em>"
> 4. Save
> 5. I expect the page to show "<em>hello world</em>" but it shows "hello
> world" in italic font
