Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-648:
---------------------------------------
Checked on master and in a running instance (Tomcat 10.1). A way to copy a page
exists: opening the editor for a page that does not exist, with the parameter
clone set to an existing page, starts the editor with the text of that page. I
tried it with a page whose text had a heading, a variable and a link, and the
new editor began with exactly that text. The header of every page carries the
address for it, and the search box offers a Clone this page option next to a
name that does not exist. Limits: I tried the plain editor only, and I did not
check whether the attachments and the history are copied; I would not expect
them to be, since only the text is read. Leaving the issue open for the
reporter to say whether this is what was wanted.

> Project: JSPWiki
> Issue Type: New Feature
> Affects Versions: 2.8.3
> Reporter: Jürgen Weber
> Priority: Major
>
> There should be a feature to create a copy of a wiki page on the info tab:
> "Create copy"
> The new page should be called "Copy of Page", as in Windows Explorer or like
> Eclipse's copies of classes.
> It is much easier for a user to start with a copy than to start from scratch.
> "Monkey See/Monkey Do: Always start by copying the structure of a similar
> plug-in"
