Alex O'Ree commented on JUDDI-893:
----------------------------------
https://dist.apache.org/repos/dist/release/juddi/juddi/3.2.1/
added a readme
the bin folder's scripts are to make setting the classpath easier for the
various tasks
juddi-client-dist has scripts to automate encrypting passwords, since that's
the only thing the client really needs to do
juddi-dist (with tomcat) has scripts to encrypt passwords and perform other
tasks in the tomcat/bin folder. I've removed the root bin folder for the server
distribution
> Improvements needed in juddi distro

> Key: JUDDI-893
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JUDDI-893
> Project: jUDDI
> Issue Type: Task
> Components: build, documentation
> Affects Versions: 3.2.1
> Reporter: Tom Cunningham
>
> Downloaded the juddi-3.2.1 distro, and saw a number of things that probably
> could be improved.
> - bin directory : the bin directory stores binaries, not scripts that could
> be run. Should it be renamed "binaries" or something like that?
> - distro should contain a readme at the top level which links to the user
> documentation or gives a short summary of how to install / run jUDDI
