While producing to a topic that does not already exists

producer.send("does-not-exists", "msg-1")

broker creates the topic

> ls /tmp/kafka-logs/
does-not-exists-0{code}
If I try to list the topics, it shows also shows this new topic

> kafka-topics --bootstrap-server localhost:9092 --list
does-not-exists-0

Now while trying to describe the topic that was auto-created the following
error is thrown
