Hi all, After incorporating the feedback received <https://lists.apache.org/thread/ns5qr66rzvwf26pyp1g1dclo9zr3kp67>, I have updated KIP-512 to reflect the majority preference for the new interface approach. The KIP is now in its final form and ready for a vote.
