TestUtils.tempDirectory registers a shutdown hook to clean up the temporary
file/directory on JVM exit. But it also calls file.deleteOnExit, which
essentially does the same thing. There's no reason to do both, setting up a
shutdown hook via Exit.addShutdownHook should be good enough.
