Reducing code duplication in DefaultEventHandler
No functionality was changed -- just removed code duplication & [get
advantage of case class copy
method](http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7249396/how-to-clone-a-case-class-instance-and-change-just-one-field-in-scala).
