Rajini Sivaram commented on KAFKA-2581: --------------------------------------- [~granders] Thank you. 1) I haven't written any new sanity checks, but I have parametrized the existing test_console_consumer to run with SSL 2) There doesn't seem to be a timeout in the new consumer, which the tests seem to rely on. So the clients in the replication tests run with PLAINTEXT, but I have parametrized interbroker_security_protocol to test with both SSL and PLAINTEXT. Is there a plan to add some kind of timeout for consumers in the tests? 3) I am working on this today. I will submit an initial PR for review by tomorrow. > Run all existing ducktape tests with SSL-enabled clients and brokers > -------------------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: KAFKA-2581 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-2581 > Project: Kafka > Issue Type: Sub-task > Components: security > Affects Versions: 0.9.0.0 > Reporter: Rajini Sivaram > Assignee: Rajini Sivaram > Fix For: 0.9.0.0 > > > New ducktape tests for testing SSL are being added under KAFKA-2417.
