Thanks

So we'd just forget 1.x and release a 2.0 from trunk asap ?

Geronimo is using Karaf and have defined new commands and all. All
those would have to be updated.
ServiceMix also defines a bunch of commands.
Let's hear from other, I don't have much problem releasing a 2.0 from
trunk, though i would have loved including a bunch of enhancements on
features for 2.0, but that could be deferred to 2.1 or later ...

L.S.,

So the plan is to only change the group name for Karaf 1.x and change
the package names as well for Karaf 2.x. Does it really make sense to
do that in two steps? There are probably not that many projects out
there at the moment that are using Karaf and actually refer to the
Karaf packages (e.g. Camel only has a Karaf features descriptor). Why
not bite the bullet and move everything over at once?

I'd like to release a 1.x version asap, but before doing so, I think
we should at least change the groupId of the various karaf artifacts,
so that it's clear the release has come from karaf and not felix.
For compatibility we should keep the package names though.
Given the change, i'm tempted to call it a 1.8.0 instead of 1.6.2 ...
Thoughts ?
