My bad: I tested only the binaries.

In that case, we could:
- apply the Andreas' patch on src assemblies
- apply the Christian's patch on the start level

OK, but after this discussion on general: "ASF releases are all about
the source release and all other binary packages are
non-apache-side-products-to-help-users" I've decided to give [1] a
shot. And the tests fail -.- The problem is that .kar and .zip files
are not handled as binary files in the src package scripts. But since
deployer/kar tests have some zips/kar files those tests fail since the
zis/kars are modified with line endings now...
