Hi Dan,
I don't want to hold Karaf release for an Aries issue. As I don't think
it's a huge blocker (even if it's critical for you), I propose to
release Karaf 2.3.1 as it is, and fix that (with an Aries update) in
2.3.2/2.4.0.
