See my previous email with all steps I did. Just: karaf client and karaf server use different http port (changed in etc/org.ops4j.pax.web.cfg) ? Else, you will have issue ;) I bet you forgot to change etc/org.ops4j.pax.web.cfg in two instances. In my example, karaf1 uses 8181 and karaf2 8282.
If you do as I explained in my previous email it should work out of the box. I just did it successfully.
