Thank you for your contributions!

I'm curious what other options that we may have here.
Depending on the size of the file to copy, pulling it back to the client in 
order to push it somewhere else in HDFS may not work.
I wonder what it would look like to incorporate DistCp into the client shell 
programming model.

Would likely need to leverage webhcat to do that....

Let's try and discuss this type of alternative and contrast it with the simpler 
pull and push to the client machine.
