Suggest you open these public lists to non-subscribers. It is a pain having
to subscribe just to ask a question.

Spam usually doesn't make it as far lists. On lists I participate in, the
borderline spam stuff goes via moderators first so they get a shot at
filtering. I believe this the default list config. If it is not, we can
figure how to set it.
