Patch Set 2: OK. I think even if we decide not to release monolithically, that it would require a VOTE to release a new python client via pypi. In other words, ASF projects cannot make official distributions without a vote on the source that produced them. Would it be reasonable to say that, if people want the latest and great python, they'd have to check out the repo and build it themself? Otherwise we would push a new pypi release every time we vote on a kudu release? If we need more frequent python releases than the rest of Kudu we could consider having separate release votes and source distributions for python. -- To view, visit http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/1946 To unsubscribe, visit http://gerrit.cloudera.org:8080/settings Gerrit-MessageType: comment Gerrit-Change-Id: I29394483e9eadfdea839e4b0b32b9db9f9c3fff3 Gerrit-PatchSet: 2 Gerrit-Project: kudu Gerrit-Branch: master Gerrit-Owner: David Ribeiro Alves <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Adar Dembo <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: David Ribeiro Alves <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Kudu Jenkins Gerrit-Reviewer: Todd Lipcon <[email protected]> Gerrit-Reviewer: Wes McKinney <[email protected]> Gerrit-HasComments: No
