Hi all, I've posted a new design document for non-covering range partitions on gerrit <https://github.com/danburkert/kudu/blob/range-partitions/docs/design-docs/non-covering-range-partitions.md> (rendered version <https://github.com/danburkert/kudu/blob/range-partitions/docs/design-docs/non-covering-range-partitions.md>). All feedback is appreciated. The feature is meant to expand the partitioning capabilities of Kudu, especially for timeseries and categorical data use cases.
