very interesting observation! I think it's totally worthwhile to do such optimization because it contributes to a much quicker user experience in Tableau(or any other BI tools), as Tableau generates a lot of similar queries. While the patch is in await status, @chelubai will you please take a second look at your kylin log to discover more similar bottlenecks, if any?
