Remind me of what Daniel Carrera did with having people presenting on IRC. I would also recomend OOo people to have slidecasts. I haven't done any in english but it was really good to have a SlideCast for the No-OOXML campaing.

Hi,

Sophie and I discussed yesterday about an idea that we'd like to share
with you.
Sophie and I were invited at the Mozilla 24 conference:

The event took place right before the OOoCON and was a major success.

The idea is to have a distributed conference (IRC, video, audio) around
the L10N/NLC topics for OOo.

What do you think?

best,
Charles.

Good idea but also: why not to reuse existing #ooonlc channel for actual
talks? Yes it were good to have sometimes eg. once in quarter of year
distributed conferences and more often organized IRC meetings (was the
last one really in May??), but surely there are things that can be
discussed currently. And there are always people around who want eg.
some quick advice...
