it would be nice if we could make the new extension-site
(http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/) more popular by having this
new text section (37 words) on the landing-page to show the users these
option for their OpenOffice.org productivity suite!

Ok for collecting the translations
Why only restricting to the list of language you gave ? OOo supports 80+
languages. Why only calling only 10 for translation ?
Are we sure that the text is stabilized ?
What about joining the regular translation process for the static part
of the site ? How could it be done ?
But, the most important is to work on the site infrastrcuture to allow
translation of extensions descritptions and static part. This remain the
main problem as the site is in english only
