It is possible and it is recommended. For most, if not all, of the recent localisationXX CWSs Ivo has announced the builds for testing here on the list. See e.g. his announcements "New l10n cws localisation31" or "cws localisation30 builds" which contain pointers where to download the builds. It is recommended for all languages where changes have been made to verify these builds before they get integrated into the master, so that we can avoid severe regression and find missing translations early.
