Jaideep Dhok commented on LENS-251:
-----------------------------------

Description is bit confusing. Can you explain via some examples? What I've
understood is that we want a storage which doesn't have partitions, but has an
attribute for declaring the oldest data available in that storage, and time
range check should validate against this attribute. Is this correct?

Also, why isn't the current partition based approach sufficient? Is this
because we might end up creating too many partitions for smaller update
periods and have overhead associated with adding or deleting of partitions?

> For certain stores that allows streaming ingestion, to make the data
> available immediately for querying, we need the notion of streaming update
> period or some such.
