bq. What are the contents of DEPENDENCIES ?
DEPENDENCIES contains all the dependencies for each module. Top level one is
empty.
bq. Changing the parent pom's artifact id to
<artifactId>apache-lens</artifactId> should solve for the issues with distro
name issues. Also seems an more appropriate parent artifact id.
