Please! Less tabs is always an improvement. No tabs is best.

The Overview tab is the default page, but has no function. The Meta
tab allows editing information (but needs to allow changing "Node
visibility".) That would be a minor improvement.
(Also fix switching documents remembering which tab you were using.
It is annoying and poor UI to need to switch back to the "Meta" or
security tabs when checking each page of the entire site. That issue
disappears if the following suggestion to remove all tabs is
accepted.)

Tabs are a poor UI choice begun because MS wanted standard sized
property dialog boxes. Much other software followed them. By the end
of the 90s, even MS realized how tabs are confusing and unproductive,
and started moving to a tree interface.

Browser-based applications should put as much information on a single
page in a single column (two table columns for label and information)
with a single "Save Everything" button at the bottom. Vertical
scrolling is good. Tabs (each with their own Save buttons) are bad.
Combining all of the tabs into a single page would be a major
improvement.

[Possible exception: I believe Assets should be connected to the
publication rather than documents. They should have their own
workflow, versioning, and security. But if that change is not
accepted, then Assets should be a section on the (single) document
information page.]
