Hi devs, FYI: On the jackrabbit list there has been a thread [1] about degrading performance for flat hierarchies (nodes with a large number of child nodes).
Benchmarks [2] showed that adding a child node takes significantly more time if the parent node already contains a large number of child nodes. Currently it's unclear whether this will be improved or not, and it was recommended by the jackrabbit devs to use a hierarchical content model instead. Should we consider this for the design of the Lenya content model?
