Thanks a lot!

I have tested it right now with the latest versions and it works fine
on Windows XP

Is it possible that you have CLASSPATH, ANT_HOME or COCOON_HOME set?

I have ONLY the env variable JAVA_HOME set!

Thanks for trying! No, none of those 3 ENV's are set. Being a
typical XP system, there are many unrelated ENV's set (SystemDrive,
PROCESSOR_IDENTITY, TEMP, and a couple dozen others.

I did some more digging and discovered that there were no files in my
tools/anttasks/org/apache/lenya/cms/ant/ directory. When I tried an
svn "revert" then the class files reappeared in that directory. Now
the build does proceed beyond this point.

Further tests show that a "build clean" deletes all the files in the
tools/anttasks/org/apache/lenya/cms/ant/ directory, but a subsequent
"build" doesn't put them back. You'd call this a bug, right?

well, I think I also did a build clean and all worked fine, but
let me check once more ...

Michi

 I must
have done a "build clean" as part of an earlier attempt to get past a
build problem.
