Creating of tables mostly works for me now, but there are still other "415 erorr" situtations as cheng reported.
Lenya uses Kupu version 1.2 but the actual version is 1.4. Since we are not using Kupu here and I don't know much about the interals, updating to version 1.4 might be hard and long work. Is anybody here using Kupu ? I think it would be a pitty if this Kupu issues stop the new release. If we are not able to solve these problems during the next days (I think they were already present in former releases), I would propose to move kupu form the first to the last position of the editors list, or to move it to the contributions branch. So new Lenya users won't get in trouble using the first available editor. Addtionaly we can recomend the installation of other WYSIWYG editors for IE users like TinyMCE or FCKEditor.
