Yep,

I already see some demos in action of aloha, and it's a really nice and
efficient editor.

It seems to use a protocol similar to CMIS:

http://www.aloha-editor.org/features.php

"The Aloha Editor Repository API makes it easy to connect any backend system. The Repository API is close to the CMIS standard and offers a lot of functionalities - but waaaaays easier."

I don't know mercury but seems cool two, and I like the rest/json
implementation.

They both go to the path of multi-layered cms, with a clear editor
independent layer.

We have to add Json capabilities to Lenya...

That should be no problem, there are some good libraris.

Hi all,

this seems to be worth a look:

http://jejacks0n.github.com/mercury/

* Works with HTML5 contentEditable
* MIT License
* Saving content using REST/JSON should be easy to implement

Another HTML5 WYSIWYG editor worth checking out:

* http://www.aloha-editor.org/ (AGPLv3)
