Hi, David!

I'm sorry, but your problem seems to have been lost behind too many words, please, try to be as concise as possible :-)

Do I understand correctly, that you want:
a) to have two or more dictionaries installed for the same language and
b) to be able to switch on/off them?

The answer to the first is definitely affirmative. Just add both your dictionaries to the dictionary.lst file, something like:
DICT en GB en_GB
DICT en GB my_dictionary

Please, note that you must have also affix files for each dictionary, so for the given example you'll need 4 files:
en_GB.dic
en_GB.aff
my_dictionary.dic
my_dictionary.aff

Even if your custom dictionary does not need an affix file, say, it's just a list of abbreviations, create at least an empty .aff.

As for the second, well, I haven't checked, but you'll probably be able to switch on/off dictionaries via Tools -> Options -> Language settings -> Writing Aids.

Good luck,

Dmitri Gabinski
