No, the main reason was that DicOOo did not work. Well, I'm not a
stubborn luddite, I appreciate technical advance. So, I've just given
one more try and found that DicOOo finally works. Hurray! That's
really good and convenient — I can't deny :-) But I still believe
there should be an informative page for manual/offline installation.
Of course, if it's hard to maintain, who can force you?
