I am sorry but I have pretty much given up on supporting OOo since I
simply have run out of volunteer time.
Please note for testing purposes you can always register a MySpell
dictionary under another country code to work with a dictionary in a
locale/language not currently supported by OOo.
I am not sure how aspell's current format is different from MySpell/
HunSpell but there are scripts that can convert an ispell dictionary
into a format useable by HunSpell/MySpell.
I am forwarding this to [email protected] in the
hopes that someone can help with getting the proper locale support
included and in getting the script to convert from ispell to
something HunSpell (the new spell checker for OOo 2.0X) can recognize
(MySpell dictionaries work fine with Hunspell).
You might want to open an official Issuezilla issue requesting that
support for your locale is added.

Quechua spell checker. MS now has a Quechua version of Office, so
OO.o is really looking bad in the country which is doing so much to
advance the cause of FLOSS.

Is there anything that needs to be done to convert from aspell to
