Does Polish support compund words?
Yes, there are some.
If yes, how intensively?
(English also supports them, e.g. rainbow, raincoat,
however, it is very reserved in their usage).
The only examples of compound words are words like autoformat
"autoformatowanie" (autoformat), "jasnożółty" (light yellow), "niedobry"
(not good), i.e., there are some prefixes which are adjectives or
negation. Negation is used as a prefix, the rest is encoded manually as
noun compounds are even more rare than in English. They are perceived as
non-natural or as bureaucratic newspeak.
What about other slavic languages?
Russian for example is as reserved as English in their usage.
I think Russian supports more compounds than Polish. Polish has, as most
Slavic languages, quite rich morphology - especially conjugations have a
lot of different paradigms. And a lot of exceptions.
