Hi Sophie,

Thanks for this.

Well, actually, I was too optimistic. My patch inserts a hard space after a space, so it's not really a solution :((( But there is some hope. First of all, I will encode this rule into LanguageTool (we already have some basic support for French). And the vlnka package could be used for that as well. The third hope is using StarBasic in AutoCorrect - now I couldn't actually make it work but maybe it's possible after all. I will ask StarBasic experts. From the technical point of view, it's possible to have OLE object as a character, and I'm not sure if this OLE object could be a StarBasic macro that runs automatically and deletes a single character to the left of it. If so, then my solution could be adapted. I was able to anchor the macro to the character but it's not run automatically (which is a good thing from the security point of view, but...)

Thanks Marcin, I don't know who is in charge of this, but now that you've done the patch it would be much more easier :-)

Well, only the better suggestions are OK, the latter thing requires either that we allow autocorrect to remove the preceding space (and yes, I've checked if backspace character does that - it doesn't). Otherwise the autocorrect rule would have to list all possible words before "?" or double punctuation marks in French, which is not practically possible.

Best,
Marcin
