Hello,
I know this post is slightly off-topic, but I've tried asking everywhere
that is more appropriate. Thanks in advance for your help.
I'm trying to identify the maintainer of Mozilla's (Firefox's and
Thunderbird's) en_us dictionaries. Many people want to submit bug
reports, but nobody can figure out where to do it. I'm familiar with
Mozilla and asked several places there, but with no luck. The Mozilla
dictionaries do not indicate their source (that I can see).
Looking at OOo's dictionaries and Mozilla's, I think OOo must be the source:
I downloaded OOo's en_us dictionary from
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Dictionaries, and ran a file
compare with en-us.dic and en-us.aff from Firefox 2.0.0.1:
* For *.dic, it looks like someone added various technology
terms to FF's version (e.g., Thunderbird, podcast, PayPal).
Otherwise, they are essentially the same.
* For *.aff, the only difference is line 2, where the FF
version adds an apostrophe to the end:
TRY esianrtolcdugmphbyfvkwzESIANRTOLCDUGMPHBYFVKWZ'
Otherwise, they are exactly the same.
If I've found the right place, how would you prefer people submit bug
reports for misspellings, etc.?
FWIW, the errors I've found are in the affix file. See this link for
more details:

Thank you,
guanxi
