Yes. There appears to be no obvious increase in site activity, memory or
CPU, then after 4 minutes, bang! 100% blip and it cycles.

I'll give it a try, thanks.

Incidentally, I ran a port scanner and packet sniffer just to check if it
might be some sort of vulnerability being used... couldn't find anything
(not that I'm an expert on this).

All I did find was some tosser from Italy sitting on port 139 trying to
access through the IPS$ share, but since I have nothing listening on that
port I'm willing to let him get cheap thrills from trying.
