I had a demo of it and it was indeed as close to FarCry as I have seen - it
is a far more polished version for sure - but under the hood it looks a lot
like it from what I could make out from the demo.
G'day mate.
I was on the dev team for Shado for a few years, and I can categorically
state there's no common ground between Shado and FarCry other than the fact
they're both CMSs (well: Farcry's more of a framework than a CMS, innit?),
and both run on CF.
I was responsible for about 25% of the code in Shado, and I hadn't even
heard of FC until a couple of years ago, and other than for about 10min,
have never looked at it at all (no diss meant to Daemon: I simply have no
need for a CMS system, so never had the need to check it out). And -
coincidentally - I'm sitting across the room from a former Senior Architect
of Shado, and he's in the same boat.
I'm not suggesting for a second that there's anything wrong with FC, just
don't want people thinking Shado is a knock-off of *anything*.
