I won't go into the reasons here. I've explained that this is not an exact science, since many users' ISPs will use IP address ranges that will give inaccurate results (Prime example is AOL, which will bring up everything as Virginia, US. I've suggested a mixture of IP zoning and an option for users to choose "I don't live here" and set the country of origin themselves, but it would seem that this is not good enough. So my question is, what's the most accurate resource out there for getting country by IP? Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing, and if so, is it possible to get 100% accuracy? Are there any other options?
