Fair enough. :)
Just had a thought on how to avoid JavaScript: cflocation. Since it's a client-side redirect there's no reason it shouldn't work... I've just tested a quick <cflocation url="mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]"/> and it works for the big two, although you do get left with a 'dead' browser window then, whereas the JS method allows you to use the window for a 'thankyou' screen, so maybe it's not a better option. Oh well. On 6/23/07, Gordon Burns <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

Ah! this is not an unwanted pop up etc they must have clicked on the email on the other page with a clear intention of emailing the advertiser. So yes they are aware and expect their email client to open. What I am wanting to do is to measure how many times this happens for each advertiser. Nothing sinister at all. I agree with you completely that to open the email client with the details ready to go without a request from the site visitor would be very counter productive. In fact most site visitors look at 8/9 advertisers details and contact 2/3 so to do it every time a visitor looked at the advert would be a disaster.
