>- see footer for list info -< I think you'll find the reason it uses iText is because the PDF functionality was added when it was part of Macromedia. I can guarantee that they either didn't want to go through the pain of refactoring it to use the Adobe Libraries, or they didn't want to cause issues with the CF7 - CF8 upgrade for people who had meddled under the hood to solve some of the issues that come with that territory.
