Client has asked me if we can help.
He has a device ( Mobile phone) that uses GPRS to make a TCP
connection to a port number on a machine at a given IP address.
the data being sent consists of around 20 values separated by commas.
We specify the port IP address by configuring this device and I
am assured it is TCP rather than UDP.
Using CF 5.
How would the panel recommend we get this data into CF to allow us to use it.
Would CF see this as incoming http post if we send it to the correct port?
Or do we need some sort of third party CFX tag. Any help or
suggestions would be appreciated.
We can send it to Apache/PHP server not running CF if this is a
much simpler solution? However would prefer CF for the moment.
