Okay fixed. The problem was thus: *CF5* Related libraries can be dropped in the CFUSION/BIN directory and will be picked up by the registered dll.
*CFMX* Related libraries must be dropped in the root of WINNT and even though the registered dll may be in CFUSIONMX/BIN the related libraries will not be read from here. I suspect this has something to do with the code being compiled. There's probably some documentation somewhere that said this but I never saw it. Thanks Mac.
