Pardon my ignorance, but sorting it how? Does each row stay together as a row, but rows are reordered according to values in a particular column? Or do the values in a particular column get sorted without disturbing the rest of the array?
Excel (for instance) will do either depending what you select before you click the sort (A-Z) button.

quick question... is there an easy way of sorting a 2 dimensional array?
arraySort only works on 1 dimensional arrays, it seems.
